Random Musings

I think I am stuck in the gray zone where they call it writer’s block.   I used to have diverse ideas to write.  Even the simplest object on the street can sprawl innumerable thoughts in my brain, and I can translate them into words.  The fact is, pintasero ako.  At kapag pintasero ka, mapaglaro ang imagination mo.   I think I got it from where I was born.   In my hometown, no one dares to join the Santacruzan every May because of the fear of being ridiculed by their peers.  And I am one of them.  Kawawa ang pangit na sagala sa akin.  May sarili kaming version ng Fashion Police o Tigbakan Alley.  Walang pinapatawad.  Sometimes we can even be cruel to the point that we make sure that the message comes across to the person concerned.  Kaya ang moral of the story: ‘wag ng piliting mag-Reyna Elena kung mukha ka naming Reyna Sentensyada.    Kung ipipilit naman ang sarili na magsagala, ang pinakamagandang pwesto ay yung bago ang Reyna Elena.  Its either they get ignored because the focus would be on the witch behind her, or you can be the barometer of beauty. May magco-comment na lang bigla na, “Mas maganda pa yung pangalawang Reyna kaysa sa kanya.”  Poor girls.  Gusto lang naman nilang rumampa,  mas malala pa yung natanggap nila. 

So anywho, the fact still remains.  If you are bad, you are more creative.  You have more avenue to express yourself.  Look at Kathy Griffin and Wanda Sykes, they have sold out shows and are popular because of their meaness.  Because sometimes being mean can be fun.  Kind can be boring.  Like me.   Being nice is good to live by, but when it comes to creativity you have to be a Britney instead of a Gandhi.

I used to sit in front of the TV every Sunday afternoon and watch SOP and all I do is rant and trash the people I see there.   I love hating what I see.  My brother would always tell me to turn the TV off if all I do is whine about the talentless so-called stars of that show.   If words could kill, they have been reincarnated three times already.   What’s even worse if they start opening their mouths to talk.  I cringe at their pretentious wit and humor, it becomes so stupid.  At least Alyssa Alano knows she is not that gifted in the brains department that it becomes funny.  When you pretend to be smart, eventhough you are not, its just plain annoying.  Some people are not really smart, they are just boisterous.  I find a lot of these people in Facebook. “hey I’ve been here”  then checks-in at a fancy schmanzy place even though the truth is he is just next door.  Or someone would post a status of how gorgeous she is, or how his freakin day went by when in fact I don’t even care even if he gets abducted by Darth Maul.  For.  All. I.  Care.   But damn, I still read all these posts, and in my mind, I would write comments about these check-ins, status chorvas, and tags.  Like I’ve said, I hate it so much that I love it.  I think this is the evolution of a hater.  Oops, I’m guilty.   “Right, right, you’re sosyal and we’re not.”  Ikaw na ang mayaman at pinagpala.  Gagaling!  May bitterness?

 Pero aminin na rin natin na most of us are guilty about all of these.  Heck maybe someone out there is already trashing me in their puny little minds.  I love it!  I think this is what Joan Rivers did to me as well.  I started reading her new book.  And she is, by the way, a meanie.  She respects no one.  But don’t  get me wrong, she is funny, but she is ultra bad.  Her evil rubs off on me. 

Now when I read Amy Tan, I am this one pathetic loser.  If I read Robert Fulghum, I become a Dr. Phil convert slash mental patient.  I wish this happens to me when I read smart books.  Or medical journals.  But all they do is put me to snooze mode. 

Anyway, these are just random thoughts on this lazy Saturday afternoon while killing time to get ready to go to church (cue halo here) then partee later (now the horns come out).    Random thoughts… funny.  Just like a Facebook album.  Random Photos.  Or Wala lang. Or Trip lang.
